Our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center offers significant benefits by creating a supportive environment for children with complex medical conditions. Eligibility
Medical conditions such as prematurity, congenital disorders, genetic conditions, respiratory disorders, neurological disorders, or other complex medical conditions typically qualify children for PPEC.
What qualifies a child for the PPEC program?
PPEC is available to children who require nursing care, which is typically determined by a physician. Typical needs that qualify a child for the program include:
- Apnea monitoring
- Oxygen therapy
- Tube feeding
- Tracheostomy care
- Frequent medication administration (think iv medications)
- Ventilator management
How it works?
